DEMACO is recognized for public service

Melbourne, Florida USA – DEMACO was a recipient of the Certificate of Excellence by the Jefferson Awards for Public Service for its long-term support of the Space Coast Machinist Apprenticeship Program. The Space Coast Machinist Apprenticeship Program is a non-profit organization that coordinates and supervises training of machine apprentices in the Space Coast region of Florida. DEMACO designs and builds high capacity, industrial pasta machines. Space Coast Machinist Apprenticeship Program started as the Brevard Machinist Apprenticeship Program in 1997, and DEMACO was one of the founding companies of the organization.

U.S. Congressman Bill Posey (FL-8) recognized several companies involved with the Space Coast Machinist Apprenticeship Program during a ceremony at the Florida Institute of Technology on August 4th. The Jefferson Awards Foundation was founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr., and Sam Beard. The Jefferson Awards recognize outstanding public service.
