Pasta Associations Meet in Florence: Institutional Meetings and Sector Assemblies at Fiera Pastaria & Festival 2026
12 March 2026Important pasta associations will hold institutional meetings and strategic discussions reserved for their member pasta makers during the event at the Stazione Leopolda.
Fiera Pastaria & Festival 2026 confirms itself not only as a meeting point for companies along the supply chain, technology suppliers, and pasta producers, but also as a key venue for institutional dialogue within the sector at both national and international level.
During the event, scheduled for March 30–31 at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, several of the leading pasta associations have chosen the occasion to convene their governing bodies and organize discussions on the strategic issues affecting the sector.
Among the meetings scheduled:
Monday, March 30
Board of the International Pasta Organisation (IPO)
The board of directors of the international organization that brings together associations and representatives of the pasta industry from many countries will meet in Florence to discuss the organization’s activities and the global outlook for the sector. The President of IPO is Carl Zuanelli (Nuovo Pasta Productions).
Tuesday, March 31
APPAFRE General Assembly – Associazione Produttori Pasta Fresca della Piccola e Media Impresa e dell’Artigianato
The association representing numerous artisanal and small- and medium-sized fresh pasta producers, chaired by Fabio Fontaneto (Fontaneto), will hold its annual assembly during the event.
Pasta Sector Assembly of Unione Italiana Food
The meeting will bring together the leading Italian pasta companies within the pasta sector of Europe’s largest food industry association.
The pasta sector of Unione Italiana Food is chaired by Margherita Mastromauro (Riscossa).
The presence of these meetings confirms the role of Fiera Pastaria & Festival as a platform for dialogue and exchange across the entire pasta ecosystem: from scientific research to production technologies, and including the institutional settings where the sector’s strategies and directions are discussed.
Participation in the association meetings will be reserved for pasta producers who are members of the respective organizations.
